Old home place

I’m pretty sure “old home place” is an exclusively Southern phrase for the house you grew up in. But someone from a different region can correct me on it if that isn’t the case.
I took these photos Saturday at about 6 p.m., shortly before a thunderstorm started. I need to get better skilled with my camera so I can get some good photos of lightning bugs when I return next summer.
