Michael Berg and Cindy Sheehan: When are you two kids gonna stop fighting it and tie the knot? You know you’re perfect for each other.

And think of the publicity (though I know you both rarely do). Maybe the media would just start referring to you like some new version of Bradgelina, Benifer or TomKat. “Sheeberg,” possibly. Sort of rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Give it some thought.

    From the AP story: “Zarqawi felt my son’s breath on his hand as held the knife against his throat. Zarqawi had to look in his eyes when he did it,” Berg added, pausing to collect himself. “George Bush sits there glassy-eyed in his office with pieces of paper and condemns people to death. That to me is a real terrorist.”

    I sincerely feel pity for Mr. Berg, in that he’s so screwed up that he feels compelled to lionize the very man who decapitated his son. His comment reminded me of Bill Maher’s unfortunate comments (for which he later apologized) in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, in which he came to the defense of the the 9/11 hijackers that people were referring to as “cowards.”

    Thank God she appears too old to have children from that marriage. That is the point of marriage, right? Right?
